⚠️ Important Safety Tips
We want you and your harp to travel safely!
Please read these instructions carefully before using your cart.
Always handle your harp with care — especially when using stairs, ramps, or uneven surfaces. The American Harp Cart is designed for safe transport when used properly, but remember:
You assume all risks when moving your harp in non-standard conditions like stairs.
Loading Your Harp
- Always start with a padded harp cover and/or a column cover.
- Gently lean your harp forward, keeping a firm hand on it.
- Slide the cart behind the harp — the carpeted tray should rest against the base or feet.
- Wrap the top strap around the harp’s column, fasten securely, and tighten.
- Attach and tighten the bottom strap too — this keeps your cover protected and your harp stable.
Unloading?
Just reverse the steps!
Moving Your Harp
- Place one hand on the neck and the other on the cart handle.
- Lean the harp back until you find the balance point.
- Always push — never pull! Keep the harp in front of you.
- Move carefully over small bumps; try to keep both wheels hitting bumps together.
- When stopping, lean the harp slowly forward to rest on the ground.
About Stairs and Bumpy Surfaces
If you need to use stairs or uneven ground, double-check that all straps are tightly fastened.
Go slow. Be careful.
And remember: Using your cart on stairs is at your own risk.
